Steve McQueen 12 Years A Slave
Fox Searchlight

Release Date: November 16

The Buzz: Steve McQueen is one of the most-acclaimed directors working today, exemplified by his Best Picture-winning drama 12 Years a Slave scooping an impressive 96% Tomatometer score.

McQueen's long-awaited follow-up, Widows, is based on the 1983 British TV series of the same name, about four women who step up to complete a heist after their husbands are killed while attempting to carry it out.

It's certainly very different from anything McQueen's done before, but with a cast including Viola Davis, Colin Farrell, Daniel Kaluuya, Liam Neeson, Robert Duvall, Carrie Coon, Jackie Weaver and Jon Bernthal, it has every chance to be McQueen's biggest and most mainstream success yet.
