10 2019 Movies That Could Score 100% On Rotten Tomatoes

9. The Irishman

Martin Scorsese
Warner Bros.

Release Date: TBA 2019

The Buzz: Martin Scorsese's first Netflix movie is by far the streaming giant's most ambitious and eagerly anticipated film project to date.

The Irishman comes with a colossal $175 million budget and a cast which will reunite the master director with Robert De Niro and Joe Pesci, while Scorsese will also direct Al Pacino for the first time ever.

Though there are justifiable concerns that Scorsese could deliver a self-indulgent romp without a studio imposing run-time restrictions on him, not to forget the risky digital de-aging effects being applied to De Niro, Pesci, and Pacino, remember that Scorsese's last critical flop was over 45 years ago (1972's Boxcar Bertha).

He's the most acclaimed and revered living filmmaker by consensus, and though the harsh tone of his movies tends to rub a few critics up the wrong way, if this crime biopic lives up to its searing, epic potential, it could see him hit a perfect 100 with the full freedom granted by Netflix.
