10 80s Movie Girlfriends Who Were Way Better Than Yours

7. Jenny Anderman - The Manhattan Project

Cynthia Nixon If you find a girl who is willing to help you steal uranium from a top-secret government lab in the dead of night just so that you can prove a point, marry her. Marry her immediately. In this underrated classic, Cynthia Nixon plays the roving reporter girlfriend of Paul Stephens, a teen genius with a nose for sneaky underhanded Cold War era shenanigans. He decides to steal uranium and build a bomb to expose this secret operation which has been going on within a gentle bike ride of a suburban area. And she supports him. Totally. Even going so far as to distract the security guards while he manages to infiltrate the lab with a toy robot and a frisbee (seriously, it's kind of sad how easy it is to break into a government facility). That's commitment.
