10 80s Movie Girlfriends Who Were Way Better Than Yours

6. Jennifer Parker - Back to the Future

claudia-wells-jennifer-parker-and-michael I need to be perfectly clear on this: I'm only including Claudia Wells on this list, not Elisabeth Shue's version of the character in the two sequels. Not because I think Shue did a bad job or anything, but Claudia Wells was such a better fit. And plus, Shue already had The Karate Kid as her hot girlfriend franchise. Share the wealth a little. She was so supportive of Marty's musical ambitions, and was always there to boost up his self-esteem. While I can easily see Marty being deeply in love with Wells' version of the character, for some reason Shue has always been a little bit of a stretch for me. Maybe it was the writing, but that's just the way it is. Wells was the hot, fun girlfriend, and Shue was the needy nag. Not a hard choice for me to make. Claudia Wells is perfection.
