7. Liar Liar (1997)
Made at the height of Jim Carreys comedic bankability by that point Carrey was being paid a cool $20 million per film - Liar Liar is a high-concept comedy that seems rather suited for a current comedy actor to take on (Steve Carell? Seth Rogen? Paul Rudd?). It centres on a lawyer who spends his life lying, both professionally and in his personal life, but one day discovers that he is unable to continue fibbing when his son makes a birthday wish that his dad will only tell the truth. A remake has high potential to go horrible wrong perhaps going the more kid-friendly route but either way it seems pretty inevitable well get one from Hollywood eventually (theres already
an unofficial Bollywood remake out there ).
