10 Actors Who Were In Two Terrible Movies In 2023
7. Adrien Brody - Fool’s Paradise & Manodrome
To give Adrien Brody some credit, his 2023 also included an appearance in Wes Anderson's Asteroid City, which was an absolute delight.
As for everything else he did, well...
The Oscar winner was part of a very impressive ensemble in the film Fool's Paradise, the directorial debut of Always Sunny star, Charlie Day.
Ken Jeong, Jason Sudekis, Kate Beckinsale, John Malkovitch, and the late Ray Liotta appear alongside Day and Brody in this story of a mute man who looks like a famous actor and a publicist attempting to cash in. It's as rubbish as it sounds.
Day was praised for his work behind the camera, but the unfunny and stilted script was roundly thumped. Following this, Brody teamed up with South African director John Trengove to make his English language debut, Manodrome.
Also starring Jesse Eisenberg, Manodrome is about a cult of incels (led by Brody's character) who attempt to recruit a young man to their cause. What could have been an incisive look at a hot-button issue ended up being fairly unremarkable - something exacerbated by the fact it featured two really compelling leads in Eisenberg and Brody.
