Aged 77 and with enough great performances in her back catalogue to secure her legacy, Diane Keaton should really just be allowed to do whatever she wants.

That being said, this is a list about bad films in 2023, so Ms. Annie Hall must be made accountable for her actions.

In 2018, Keaton appeared in a film called Book Club, about a group of elderly women whose lives change when they get together to read Fifty Shades of Gray.

Somehow, it did well enough to get a sequel in 2023, which saw Keaton and her co-stars whisked off to Italy in true comedy sequel fashion. While it's not going to offend anyone, Book Club: The Next Chapter is stuffed full of lazily-written jokes and enough "look at how nice it is that these old people are doing things" moments to make you vomit.

Then, there was Maybe I Do, a romantic comedy in which Keaton plays one of several people coming to terms with the romance in their lives. Trope-heavy and thoroughly uninspired, Maybe I Do struggled to impress even the most diehard of rom-com fans.
