10 Absolutely Terrible B-Movies That Have Become Cult Classics
9. Fateful Findings
The most recent release on this list, 2013's Fateful Findings was written, produced, and directed by Neil Breen, who many bad film fans are calling "the new Tommy Wiseau". In the film, Breen plays an author who also doubles up as an elite hacker with psychic superpowers and a plan to reveal "the most secret government and corporate secrets" to the world in order to inspire some kind of global revolution.
In terms of plot, it's about as ridiculous as a movie can get, but that's not the only thing that sets Fateful Findings apart. The acting in this movie is simply unreal. Lines are delivered in the most stilted, embarrassing fashion possible, leading to some scenes that could quite easily compete against movies like The Room in terms of awkwardness.
The best-worst part of it all is that Breen seems to take his work very seriously, classing himself as some kind of alternate auteur operating on a different plane to mainstream Hollywood directors. In Fateful Findings and his other movies, he always seem to play a world-saving, all-powerful being, and fans have really latched onto his almost unbelievable persona and can't wait to see what he comes up with next.
