At this point, everyone should spare a thought for the dark, disturbed mind that created Dogwelder. This is one of those artless comic book characters whose name reflects exactly what he does. Dogwelder is a person (technically he is framed as a hero, but if it is super up for debate given some of his more violent and/or sociopathic tendencies) who punishes the bad guys by welding dead dogs to their faces. Crazy, right? Probably not an effective role model, right?

It's also key that he ask the important questions here: where does Dogwelder get all of these dead dogs? Well, he kills them. So... there's that. Now, it's clear that audiences love a good antihero, and no one's saying that every single superhero needs to be as unimpeachably moral as, say, your Captain America, but you have to draw the line somewhere. And for most people, that line probably exists right around the point where you start killing defenseless little stray puppies and gluing them to random baddies' faces.
