10 Absurd Movie Deaths That A Normal Person Could Have Avoided

6. Paul Conroy (Ryan Reynolds) €“ Buried (2010)

Cause of Death: Buried alive In Buried, perhaps obviously, Paul Conroy is buried alive in a crude wooden coffin, which has been placed in a shallow grave in a Middle-Eastern desert. How shallow? Well, according to the unhelpful people that Conroy manages to communicate with while he€™s down there (using the cell phone left for him by his captors) it can€™t be too deep, or he€™d get no signal. So, this grave is shallow enough for you to get bars on your phone, but too deep to even attempt escaping? Hmmm€ How To Survive It: It€™s common knowledge that human beings can perform incredible feats when survival instinct and adrenaline kick in. According to the characters in the movie he can€™t be more than three or four feet underground, so why I ask, does Conroy seem so willing to give up entirely. Couple that with the fact that snakes are able to infiltrate this wooden coffin, so it can€™t be very secure either. Did Paul Conroy never see Kill Bill vol. 2?! No, instead of tearing the coffin to pieces from the inside and clawing his desperate way to the top (which is what you or I would have at least tried to do), he makes call after call to people who just cannot help him. Has technology made us that lazy?!
