4. Godzilla (Tristar 1998 Remake)
I do realize that Godzilla is not typically a normal villain as we think of one but he was the primary antagonist in this film. None the less, this was the most anticipated movie of mine in 1998 and up until then, the biggest movie for me...until I saw it. As one of the biggest Godzilla fans ever, I was crushed. To see the end result of this was just so tragic. So much hype, so much publicity and then we end up with a giant iguana who runs around New York. What had me shaking my head in disbelief besides the awful design, the horrible love story, the bad dialogue, how the creature acted nothing like Godzilla, was his travelling. Here he starts in French Polynesia and works his way to New York to lay his young. A creature that big can hide in plain sight, outrun our military, but can't catch a taxi. Oh and let us not forget the fact that a typical pregnancy test can detect a giant monster and whether its pregnant or not... and this is why I can't wait to see Legendary's Godzilla... come on May 16, 2014!
