10 Action-Packed Jackie Chan Movies You've Likely Never Seen
1. Crime Story
Not to be confused with the Police Story series, Crime Story is like its grittier and meaner cousin with some spectacular set-pieces. If the Armour of God movies are Hong Kong's answer to Indiana Jones, it's safe to say Crime Story is their equivalent to Dirty Harry.
In it, Jackie Chan plays Eddie Chan, a police inspector brought on to a kidnapping case of a wealthy businessman. Despite suffering from PTSD relating to an incident in which he had to shoot men in self-defense, Chan takes the case.
The further he digs, the further matters complicate, because unbeknownst to him, his partner is in on the kidnapping and goes out of his way to make the investigation more difficult. So, as Chan wrestles with his demons, he has to fend off criminals and his own corrupt partners too.
Overall, there is a little less fisticuffs within Crime Story compared to his other movies, but the action set-pieces more than makeup for it. The climax, involving an explosion within Kowloon's infamous walled city at a time it was actually due for demolition, is as exciting as it gets.
