With his mannered line delivery, unconventional movie looks and all-round goofball persona, Jeff Goldblum would have to do little work to pull off a Coen brothers character. Hell, Goldblum has already spent the last 20 years living his life like a Coen brothers character, rattling off words with what sound like constructed tics and affectations and generally acting as eccentric as they come. Outside of quirky bit-parts, no-one seems to know what to do with Jeff Goldblum anymore. Do casting agents not see that his entire life has been building up to taking a grand Coen brothers character name and spitting their dialogue like it was second nature?
