Amy Adams is one of those fantastically chameleonic actors who can do basically anything, and she'll assuredly stretch herself beyond compare while starring in Marielle Heller's deranged new horror film Nightbitch.
Adams will play an overworked mother who, while raising her toddler, comes to believe that she's turning into a dog. That's it - that's the plot.
Nightbitch will surprisingly mark Adams' first proper foray into the horror genre - we're not counting The Woman in the Window - and if Heller's film lives up to the hype of Rachel Yoder's acclaimed novel, it's going to see Adams go to some truly unhinged places.
The few sneaky set photos spotted online certainly suggest quite the drastic physical transformation for the actress, and given that Adams has starred in a string of disappointing movie projects as of late, a left-field part like this is very welcome indeed.
