10 Actors And Directors Who Had Violent Confrontations

2. George Clooney Vs. David O. Russell

url-5 David Russell makes his second appearance on this list as the only repeat offender. This one came several years prior to the I Heart Huckabees incident and instead involves a clash between Russell and George Clooney, arguably one of the most likable actors in the business today. The film they were working on together was entitled Three Kings and it was Russell's first big budget film. During filming, tensions were so high between Clooney and Russell that both men nearly had a fistfight while filming. Clooney had felt that Russell was demeaning the crew, both verbally and physically. He eventually got so fed up that he confronted Russell and told him" "You can't push, shove or humiliate people who aren't allowed to defend themselves." Russell responded by promptly head-butting Clooney and then grabbing him by the neck. Clooney was understandably pissed and he was about to beat the crap out of Russell, but thankfully he was restrained by a nearby friend. Both Clooney and Russell have had respectable careers since then though it seems that both men are determined never to work with each other again. When asked about it in 2000, Clooney responded by saying "life's too short." He's since changed his tone slightly by saying "I really do appreciate the work he continues to do and I think he appreciates what I'm trying to do."
