It was truly shocking audio to listen to as in it, the normally calm and easygoing Bale completely loses his cool. To call this a argument is unfair to poor director of photography Shane Hurlbut, who must have had no idea what was coming. From what the audio tells us, the profanity-laced tirade was provoked by Hurlbut walking on the set while Bale was filming an important scene. Bale instantly lays into Hurlbut by threatening and belittling him, even going as far to say that he'll quit the movie if Hurlbut isn't fired. Bale did
later apologize to Hurlbut and he also admitted that his actions were completely unacceptable. Still Bale has to live with the consequences of having his rant take place in the golden age of the Internet, where it will always be immortalized in Youtube videos and in
online memes.
