10 Actors That Aren't Nearly As Well-Known As They Should Be

7. Cillian Murphy

The strange and Irish face of Cillian Murphy is seldom seen in the romcom, but occasionally pops up in action blockbusters - he was dream-invading target Robert Fischer in the much-loved Inception (2010) and Dr. Jonathon Crane (or Scarecrow) in Chris Nolan's recent Batman series (2005-2012). Tucked behind his really really blue eyes is some pretty serious acting clout. For Batman he managed to be at first cool and calculating, and then later totally insane with a good deal ease and fluidity; and in Danny Boyle's incredible (but not that famous) movie Sunshine (2007), Murphy was perfect as the nerdy and ultimately scared scientist-turned-saviour-of-the-world, who takes on his responsibility with little joy and a lot of flailing. I would really recommend this one, especially for Cillian Murphy's brief scenes as narrator in it, with his chilling but very appropriate voice.
