8. Rooney Mara

Rooney Mara - she's the one who plays the crazy goth-looking girl in The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo (2011) that every guy watching a had a weird crush on but wouldn't admit it. There's no shame in it - in real life she is actually incredibly attractive, as well as talented. But attraction aside, she was really believable in The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo as Lisbeth Salander, and managed to keep her dignity and respect even in a pretty horrendous rape scene. As well as that she starred alongside Casey Affleck in the previously mentioned Ain't Them Bodies Saints (2013) and equalled him in acting ability throughout, even bolstering the mini-Affleck's performance in a few scenes. Do you remember the awesome opening scene of The Social Network (2010) where Mark Zuckerberg's girlfriend Erica Albright makes him look like a jackass? Yeah, that was Rooney Mara (but you probably already knew that). Another one for extreme range, going from an almost psychotic hacker with tattoos to an intelligent college student who's dating a nerd.
