10 Actors You Didn't Know Almost Starred In 2014's Biggest Films

5. Christoph Waltz - Jean Pierre Napoleon - Muppets Most Wanted

Christoph Waltz Muppets Most Wanted Christoph Waltz plus anything equals "a better film," so it's a shame that the actor - famous for his work with writer/director Quentin Tarantino - had to drop out from his intended role in sequel Muppets Most Wanted due to scheduling conflicts. He was replaced by Ty Burrell, you'll remember (star of TV's Modern Family), who did an admirable job, but it's hard not to think we missed a trick here somewhere. Why? Well, just picture Christoph freakin' Waltz - the Nazi from Inglourious Basterds - conversing with the cast of The Muppets. Like, Christoph Waltz sitting down and having a conversation with Kermit the Frog like that was the most natural thing in the world. Hanging out with Gonzo and Fozzy Bear. Had this have actually happened as originally intended, planet Earth would be a far, far happier place. Seriously.
