6. The Flash/ Charlie Chaplin
The Flash is often considered the funniest member of DC's Justice League, so why not cast the man who practically invented big-screen comedy, Charlie Chaplin? Chaplin honed his skills throughout his early life, working in music, theatre, and dance but by 1914 was appearing in short films for Keystone Studios. By 1916, with the help of his legendary "Tramp" persona, he had become one of the most famous and well paid performers in the world. By 1921, he had written, directed, and starred in The Kid, one of the most memorable silent films of the era and Chaplin subsequently pounded out classic after classic over the next 30 years of his career. Widely acknowledged as one of the founders of cinema, he remains a towering figure in moviemaking and one of the most beloved of all screen icons. While Chaplin never did anything remotely similar to a superhero film, his legendary body control, sense of comic timing, and deceptive athletic abilities might just suit a role as DC's fastest character, and how awesome would it be to see him do his trademark walk at superspeed. He showed in his later works such as Monsieur Verdoux that he was perfectly capable of turning in magnificent performances after the sound age began and although he wouldn't be able to keep his famous mustache, he'd otherwise be a perfect match.
