Given the difficult task of playing the female lead in the American version of an already celebrated series, right from the start, Jenna Fischer proved she was up to the task. Cast as Pam Beesly in The Office, her performance allowed fans to love the character and relate to her plight of being underestimated at every turn. Then the series came to an end and somehow her career prospects seemed to largely dry up.

Blessed with all of the skills necessary to lead the rom com world, Fischer deserves to follow in the footsteps of people like Julia Roberts and Meg Ryan. On top of being a delight to watch find love onscreen, she has also shown flashes of brilliance that makes it evident that she has acclaimed performances in her as well.
