Seemingly born to be a star, Jennifer Connelly’s first movie came out when she was only 13 and it was the start of big things to come. In fact, by her fourth film, she’d already cemented her legacy by starring in a movie that dazzled a generation of kids, Jim Henson‘s Labyrinth. Of course, her heyday was far from finished and she went on to become a superstar due to starring in movies like The Rocketeer, Dark City, and A Beautiful Mind.

An Academy Award-winning actor that has a long list of other trophies under her belt, it is abundantly clear that Connelly has the respect of her peers. Additionally, she is absolutely stunning and it is no secret that Hollywood cares a great deal about that.

For those reasons, the only logical conclusion is that she is yet another example of female actors in Hollywood not getting their just due after hitting middle age. The idea that so many stellar performers in her position are held back is simply revolting.
