When Sylvester Stallone launched his Expendables film project, fans of '80s action movies rejoiced! All of their favorite stars from the decade that gave the world Rambo, the Terminator, Die Hard, and others were going to show up to delight audiences and fans... but where was Jackie Chan?

Fans of Chan certainly know of his work from the decade, and it was odd that he wasn't in the movie(s). He would certainly be well-placed in The Expendables franchise, but he never showed up in any of the films.

As it turns out, he was offered a part, but he refused. While it wasn't necessarily due to being insulted, he did have a reason for not participating.

Chan felt he deserved more screen time than was offered, and because that was lacking, he passed on the first three films in the franchise.

"This morning I did hear - the office called - Sly [Stallone] wants me for Expendables 4. I said, ‘Okay.’ Because they already asked me to be in two and three, but I refused. Well, I didn’t refuse, but I said, ‘Sly, can’t we just do you and me? Not just a bunch of people and me only coming out for five minutes.’ Because then the audience is, ‘Oh!’ And then I’m gone."

Since he's going to finally show his face in the fourth film, fans are certain to be happy, but it would have been nice for him to show in any of the previous movies.
