10 Actors Who Are Seriously Overdue A Starring Role

10. Portia Doubleday

Portiadoubleday I was first introduced to Portia Doubleday in the movie Youth In Revolt. Some would argue that she was the lead as she was in a lead role, but I argue that due to her lack of screen time and being paired up with the ever popular Michael Cera, she was overshadowed and given very little time to shine. On top of that, she was not only up against Michael Cera, but Michael Cera as well. Then I saw her on the short lived NBC series Mr. Sunshine, a defibrillator for Matthew Perry's career, post-post-Friends. In a different light, Doubleday found to be quite charming, jovial, and warm. Just last month, Doubleday appeared in the remake of Stephen King's Carrie, though not as Carrie, but her nemesis. Nothing to snub your nose at, really. However, I think Doubleday is made for bigger and better things. When I watch her, I'm not ever wondering who told her she was a good actress, like I find myself doing with a lot of the big names in Hollywood. She is captivating, as a happy-go-lucky or as a vengeful slut, and I think she would be more than capable of carrying a movie on her own shoulders.
