10 Actors We Still Can't Believe Are Oscar Nominees

2. Jonah Hill (Moneyball, The Wolf Of Wall Street)

This one is particularly tickling because it was even referenced in Hill's recent comedy This Is the End, with many of his co-stars noting that Jonah was now an "Oscar-nominated person", and making cracks about how ridiculous it is that Seth from Superbad is now an Oscar nominee, thanks to a 2012 Supporting Actor nod for Moneyball. The joke got even funnier this week when Hill was nominated for his second Supporting Actor Oscar for his superb work in Scorsese's The Wolf of Wall Street, a shining example of how even the most firmly-cemented career can change overnight, and it doesn't always have to be for the worse. Hill has proven himself an extremely talented actor in both his comedy work and his straighter, more serious roles (though they tend to have a significant comedy element in them, to be fair), but 3 years ago, who would have expected the dude from The Sitter to end up like this?
