4. Johnny Depp
Johnny Depp has always struck up the rock star vibe in whatever movie he's in. Regardless of whether he's dressing as the Mad Hatter in Alice in Wonderland or just turning in time as Jack Sparrow, Depp's entire aura has been centred around the wayward drifter looking for kicks wherever he goes. So it makes sense that this guy would eventually become said drifter once he got a guitar in his hands.
Granted, not every thespian can really pull off the whole rock star schtick, considering the amount of swagger and chops you need to actually make it look convincing. Depp seems to have this down to a fine art though, turning in time as the lead guitarist of the Hollywood Vampires alongside legends of the genre like Alice Cooper and Joe Perry. It doesn't really seem like a vanity project either, as he's able to trade leads with Perry and actually hold his own next to the guitar legend.
This wasn't even a new revelation either, considering Depp had already made the rounds as an uncredited session musician on Oasis' Be Here Now, contributing the slide guitar solo to the track Fade In Out. Though some of his songs are certainly an acquired taste in the rock field, you're doing yourself a disservice if you decide to not at least give his guitar solos a listen.
