10 Actors That Are Actually Decent Musicians
5. Hugh Jackman
Even years after its release, it still seems impossible that the X:Men franchise was able to find someone as perfect as Hugh Jackman to play Wolverine. Aside from the massive similarities in appearance, Jackman came ready for Logan's parts, looking to annihilate anyone in sight once he had his claws in tow. When Wolfie cleans up though, there's a surprising amount of vocal talent on display here.
Although Jackman has been known to take on more captivating roles in something like the Prestige, his turn in the musical theatre department has given us some of his best work. Throughout the movie adaptation of Les Miserables, Jackman blew every one of his contemporaries out of the water, making Russell Crowe look like he was singing in some bar band by comparison.
As much as Wolfie's voice demands some grit and gravel in the presentation, Jackman is a belter in every sense of the word, leading to some of the most emotional high notes to ever come from a movie musical. Even as recently as the Greatest Showman, you can tell the theatre is something that Jackman still holds fairly close to the chest. Though his time as Logan may be up at this point, the Jacked Man is not going to be lacking in any opportunities if he decides to throw on his stage garb one more time.
