10 Actors That Became Great Directors

6. Kenneth Branagh

Hollywood is only just starting to take notice of Kenneth Branagh's abilities behind the camera, with his directorial output before 2011 superhero film Thor consisting predominantly of Shakespearian adaptations in his native Great Britain, covering many of the Bard's works over a seventeen year period between 1989's Henry V and 2006's As You Like It. Best known in front of the camera for his roles in said films, as well as Harry Potter And The Chamber Of Secrets and the English-language television version of Wallander, Branagh will next take charge of the upcoming Jack Ryan reboot, starring Chris Pine as the title character and himself as the villain of the piece.
