10 Actors That Went From Their Best Movie To Their Worst
3. Robert Downey Jr - Avengers: Endgame To Dolittle
Also appearing in Tropic Thunder (where he gained an Oscar nomination), Robert Downey Jr has become immortalised for his portrayal of Tony Stark/Iron Man in the MCU ever since it began back in 2008. His sarcastic one-liners and charismatic presence instantly made him a fan-favourite; and in Avengers: Endgame - his last outing as the superhero - he knocked it out of the park.
Founded upon years of character development and genuinely moving relationships with other characters (Tom Holland's Peter Parker in particular), Dwney Jr should be seen as a reason why comic book films can be more than your average money-making blockbuster.
Following his tear-jerking departure from the MCU, audiences wondered what he'd do next. Nobody, however, expected he'd star in Disney's Dolittle as the eponymous doctor who can converse with animals in a performance that has been heavily ridiculed.
Ripped apart by critics for its jumbled narrative and insultingly crass humour, Downey Jr (who also acted as an executive producer) was described by ScreenCrush as devoid of any human characteristics.
Throw in an almost unintelligible Welsh accent and possibly the worst fart jokes ever put on film, and you have an actor that fell a long way from Endgame's heights.
