10 Actors Totally Wasted In 2021 Movies

Next to nobody waltzed into the latest Dwayne Johnson jungle bash expecting to be treated to the sight of Paul Giamatti stealing the whole damn show with next to no real screen time. But that's precisely what those who chose to endure this Indiana Jones-lite flick were rewarded with in the end.

Yet, even with that being the case, to say that Giamatti's deliciously slimy Italian harbourmaster Nilo Nemolato was given a fair shake of the whip wouldn't be an accurate statement by any means. In fact, most fans were left clamouring for a great deal more of the explosive ball of charisma when it became clear that he would be sidelined in favour of Jesse Plemon's "Hallochen!" - spouting Prince Joachim instead.

Executing a thick Italian accent to perfection, relishing every syllable and acting as the perfect foil to Johnson's Frank (or "Frankie Boy" as Nilo prefers), Giamatti is clearly having a ball, but his fun is cut heartbreakingly short once the film heads out into the jungle. Here's hoping the mighty Nilo is brought back for more shenanigans should this cruise set sail again down the river.
