1. Christina Ricci Is Embarrassed By Her Performance - Casper
The beauty of starring in a feature that all the family can enjoy is often found in the fact that actors are sometimes gifted the opportunity to share a truly surreal experience with their children later down the road as they all sit down to take in their family-friendly flick.
Only, when Christina Ricci attempted to do exactly that with what many class as a childhood treasure by the name of Casper, she quickly realised that her performance wasn't what she'd hoped it would be upon looking back.
As the The Addams Family and Yellowjackets star would reveal on the WTF with Marc Maron podcast recently, "If you actually watch 'Casper,' I'm terrible in it."
But far from simply crapping all over a cherished childhood memory for many, Ricci would backtrack slightly in explaining:
"People get so upset when I say that. Because I'm like, 'No, it's a wonderful movie.' Because it's a childhood treasure to people. But I am terrible in it,'"
It's doubtful her 8-year-old was as quick to call out his mom's commitment to the cause, mind. But that still didn't stop Ricci from admitting that, "Embarrassingly, I don't think I tried as hard as maybe I should have."
