10 Actors Who Absolutely Hate Your Favourite Movies

3. It Wasn't Christopher Plummer's Cup Of Tea - The Sound Of Music

The hills might have been alive with the sound of music, but Christopher Plummer was actually very much over the concept of the flick itself during the shooting of the eventual Oscar-winning musical.

Simply put, Plummer wasn't in any way, shape, or form a fan of his work as the Captain or the idea of all things von Trapp whilst filming, and he didn't have many positive things to say about the often celebrated movie in the decades that would follow.

As the legendary actor would tell The Boston Globe in 2010:

"I was a bit bored with the character. Although we worked hard enough to make him interesting, it was a bit like flogging a dead horse. And the subject matter is not mine. I mean it can’t appeal to every person in the world. It’s not my cup of tea.’’

And that was perhaps the lighter way of putting it, with Plummer digging a touch deeper a year later when discussing why the role was so hard to perform for him. In the star's words to THR, "...it was so awful and sentimental and gooey. You had to work terribly hard to try and infuse some miniscule bit of humor into it.”
