10 Actors Who Already Hate Upcoming Movies

9. John Boyega - Rebel Ridge

UNCHARTED Movie
Screen Media Films

Last May, John Boyega began shooting his new thriller film Rebel Ridge, written and directed by rising filmmaker Jeremy Saulnier (Blue Ruin, Green Room).

However, the next month it was reported that Boyega had suddenly exited the project mid-shoot, with distributor Netflix citing "family reasons" while others suggested he walked away without informing the cast or crew, allegedly over misgivings with the script and his shooting accommodation.

This led to production being shut down while a replacement for Boyega, the lead in the film, was sought. Aaron Pierre was ultimately hired to replace him, with shooting set to resume soon at considerable cost to Netflix.

Needless to say, if the reports of Boyega balking at revisions to the script are true, enough to make him quit the film while deep in the shoot, that's a pretty emphatic vote of no confidence against it. Yikes.
