James Franco and Tyrese Gibson sounds like one of the least-compatible actor pairings of all time, and inevitably, their two big egos clashed during the filming of 2006 naval drama Annapolis.

The two fell out big time while they were working together, and while it isn't clear exactly what happened, the bust-up was big enough that it prompted Gibson to state that he never wanted to work with Franco again, and that Franco felt the same way.

But ultimately, Franco was the one who apologised, covering up the beef by saying that he was "too into" his role, and that he blames his acting methods for his severed relationship with Gibson:

“We’ve made up, or I tried to make up with him. Maybe I was too into that role. I don’t try to be mean to anybody on a movie. In the past I’ve tended to isolate (myself), and maybe people take that as me being rude or me not liking them, but it’s really a way for me to stay in my character."

Unsurprisingly, the two have never worked together again. Maybe in a remake of 12 Angry Men though?
