5. Michael Cera
Notable Flops: A litany of indie films that did next-to-no business (Paper Heart, Magic Magic and Crystal Fairy), as well as Year One ($62.3m against $60m), Youth in Revolt ($19.6m against $18m) and Scott Pilgrim vs. The World ($47.6m against $60m). Though Cera doesn't exactly have a star quality and is more a niche actor anyway, his forays into big-budget fare have generally resulted in failure, likely why we rarely see him in a big-budget Hollywood flick unless it's as a supporting player (see: This Is the End, modestly-budgeted though it is by Hollywood standards).
Upcoming Projects: Cera actually doesn't have any movies on the horizon, which is slightly troubling. Though the Arrested Development movie - whenever it gets made - will surely do decent business for him (as will a rumoured fifth season), that many of the actor's films have foregone theatrical releases in favour of VOD could be a sign that audiences are getting bored with Cera's shtick (ironic considering his most recent films tend to shirk that stereotype).
