10 Actors Who Avoided Awful Movies Due To "Scheduling Conflicts"

2. Triple 9 – Michael B. Jordan

Tom Hardy Suicide Squad
Warner Bros.

Not necessarily an ‘awful’ film, but considering Jordan took a 3-year break in terms of film credits between Creed in 2015 and his fantastic role in Black Panther in 2018, a 2016 slot for the underwhelming box office bomb Triple 9 would hardly have been worth it.

Boasting an otherwise stellar cast, ‘scheduling conflicts’ is the vague reason for this dropout. Though considering the film was shot in the summer of 2014 and Jordan’s only acting credit in 2015 is Creed, which shot in early the same year, Jordan’s schedule is not especially busy on first glance.

He was quietly replaced with Anthony Mackie. The movie went on to gross $20 million against a production budget of $25 million and a multi-year production.

Chances are I’m watching a movie or replaying Mass Effect rather than doing anything productive.
