10 Actors Who Begged For Their Horror Movie Character To Die
4. Jaime Lee Curtis - Halloween H20 & Halloween: Resurrection
Laurie Strode had been battling it out against Michael Myers for twenty years by the time Halloween H20 was released in 1998, and actress Jaime Lee Curtis felt that Laurie’s story had come to a close. After everything she’d been through (including a resurrection), it only seemed fair.
Then another Halloween film was confirmed and put into production. Curtis really didn’t want to go through with it, but felt she owed it to the character and to fans of the slasher saga to see it through. On one condition: Laurie would die.
It wasn’t the best death imaginable for Laurie, given that it could’ve easily been avoided on her part, but it did provide a closing chapter for Curtis and Laurie alike. Still, we were all glad she decided to return for the 2018 Halloween with all the ferocity and determination we’d come to expect from the character.
