10 Actors Who BLAMED Fans For Films Failing

While the Twilight movies were not necessarily box office failures, neither did they set the world on fire and are viewed with equal parts scorn and derision by all but the most die hard fans (as opposed to Die Hard fans... that's a different series...).

With such universal cynicism in evidence, one might expect the star of the series to leap to its defence, or at least offer some diplomatic words of reconciliation.

Not Robert Pattinson...

Evidently channelling the spirit of the late Sir Alec Guinness, Pattinson wants nothing to do with the franchise which made him famous, going so far as to publicly ridicule its fanbase.

In a recent interview, Pattinson took a bite out of Twi-hards:

"The odd thing about this Twilight target group is that they aren’t really teenagers. Most of them are older."
"Twilight has its own parallel world... which has been forming on the net since day one, and in an intense way that has never existed before."

Really going for the kill, he continued: "Sometimes I ask myself what these people do the whole day. They sit in front of their computers and comment on anything even remotely to do with Twilight."
