Emma Stone is one of the most popular actresses of the 21st century, having appeared across all scopes of cinema and shining in all of them. She can play the girl next door, the psychotic villain and the lovable leading lady, all in the space of a couple of years. However, it is only in the past several years that she has transformed her career.

Starting out, Emma Stone was primarily a rom-com, easy watch comedy actress, the kind with charm in spades. In films such as Superbad, The House Bunny, Zombieland and Easy A, Stone thrived in these roles as the smart, cute girl and gained a large following, gathering several more roles as the years went on.

Then Emma Stone starred in Birdman. Supporting Michael Keaton's intense performance is a tough act for anyone but Stone still shone just as bright as her co-star, to critical and commercial success. She gained an Oscar and BAFTA nomination as Best Supporting Actress and rocketed into the public eye as a full range actress.

Since Birdman, Emma Stone has gathered an Oscar and BAFTA for her role in La La Land as well as nominations for The Favourite. Stone is now a leading dramatic actress, far from her crude comedy years.

I currently attend the University of Salford, studying Broadcast Journalism. That's it really. Told you there was nothing special. If you're really that desperate for something to do, follow me on socials. Yes, I do like that ego boost.
