10 Actors Who Changed Their Entire Image In One Movie
3. Liam Neeson - Taken
Liam Neeson is one of the staple actors of Hollywood, having appeared in some big movie franchises including Star Wars, The Dark Knight Trilogy, Men In Black and The Narnia films. He has gathered over 138 acting credits over his career and is one of those extremely recognisable faces and voices that seems to crop up everywhere. However, it is only in recent years that he has found his most iconic career shift.
Originally, Neeson was a typical dramatic actor, who did not have a set typecast but courted respected roles. He still did amazingly well in his career as a serious actor, having been nominated for an Oscar and a BAFTA for his lead role in Schindler's List. But it wasn't until Taken blasted its way into cinemas that Neeson's roles changed.
After playing the gruff talking, punch throwing Bryan Mills, Neeson was now a full blown action star. Typically a muscle man will start as an action star then move to the more serious roles but Neeson did the opposite. He subsequently appeared as similar hit-men/tough guys in films such as Non-Stop, The A Team, A Walk Among The Tombstones and The Grey. Liam Neeson reinvented his whole image and became a modern day action icon.
