6. Luke Wilson - My Super Ex-Girlfriend

Not every bodily transformation is done in order to make the star look superheroic. In one case, the actor simply didn't believe that his physique was up to the demands of a nude scene in a movie about a superhero who wasn't him.

Luke Wilson starred opposite Uma Thurman in My Super Ex-Girlfriend, in which he took the brunt of his ex's wrath when he dumped her for being over-bearing and dangerously unhinged. And because he clearly believed that he had to have the kind of physique that would turn a superior being into a deranged psycho ex, Wilson requested that he have a stand-in for one key nude scene.

“I had a great year emotionally, but physically it was kind of a tough year. I thought it might be a good time to sit on the bench for that scene and let some other kind of more athletic guy take over there.”

So instead of shredding and doing some serious squats, he just picked a back and butt out of a brochure, effectively. He also revealed something of the process of choosing the right butt double:

“I found myself just kind of pouring over them saying, ‘I like that one, but it doesn’t have quite the pizzazz I want for this scene.’ Or, ‘This one’s good, but it’s too muscular.’ I’ve got a little hail damage back there. As you get a little older, you tend to kind of get little dents and indentations.”
