10 Actors Who Could Play Doctor Doom In The MCU
3. Mikael Persbrandt
Mikael Perbrandt is mostly known for his role in Sex Education. The Swedish plumber Jakob was a hilarious role that highlighted how his dramatic and stoic nature could work well in a comedy setting. He is also recognisable for having played Beorn in the Hobbit trilogy.
Whilst he is known for taking on these less villainous positions, he does have an energy and presence that would make for the perfect antagonist. The actor is tall and intimidating, with a great way of delivering his lines with power and authority.
Additionally, the use of his Swedish accent could take Doom into a direction that we have not seen before. Taking the audience by surprise and going with this less well-known actor would give them the ability to generate something new and fresh in their villain arsenal.
Finally, Persbrandt can capture an intelligent and authoritative aura but also a physical one. By making Doom feel like a threat in more than his intellect, it would help to make the character feel believable.
