With all of the furore surrounding Trump's successful bid for presidency, it's easy to forget that outside of the Hollywood bubble almost half of all Americans that voted in the election chose Donald Trump. This means that Trump must at least have some appeal. But what could it be? Maybe we need an outsider, a person that isn't from the US and has only become a sought after actor in Hollywood until only recently, to tap into what makes Trump appeal to almost 60 million American voters.

Or, failing that, Christoph Waltz does have experience playing despicable characters, be it a Bond villain or a Nazi "Jew hunter", so maybe that would help too.

Waltz, usually not shy in sharing his opinion, has so far kept relatively quiet on his opinions of Trump, most probably because he didn't get a vote, what with him being Austrian-German and all. However, judging by his harsh criticisms of other right-wing politicians, notably Trump fanboy Nigel Farage, it's fair to presume that, seemingly like the rest of the collective entertainment industries, he isn't a fan.

However, hopefully that wouldn't stop him from having a bash at The Donald because it would definitely be a fascinating performance. Waltz, a naturally quiet and reserved individual, shouting about walls and wanting to punch protestors in the face could quite possibly make for one of the funniest political films ever made.
