10 Actors Who Could Play Scarecrow In Matt Reeves’ The Batman
2. Sean Harris
Sean Harris is a wonderful everyman actor, who you probably recognise, but just can't place where from. He's made his name in some great projects like Harry Brown and the Mission Impossible movies, and playing Scarecrow would be a perfect next step for him.
One thing that this actor completely exceeds in is his ability to constantly feel on the verge of catastrophe. Harris is so skilled at tightly winding his characters up, and making them feel like a rubber band that could snap at any minute. This makes all of his more sinister performances full of tension, which would be an excellent direction for Dr Jonathan Crane.
Additionally, he has a rather tall and lanky frame, with a body language that could look fantastic for the part. His physical performance from the movie Possum is a great example of how his height combined with slumped shoulders can look strangely uncanny, and give him the appearance of someone you can't entirely trust.
Finally, the actor needs a big break to cement himself in the movie industry. While he is very decorated, he is far from being a household name, and a great position like this would go a long way for his career, possibly making him a leading villainous figure in the movie world.
