10 Actors Who Could Replace Ezra Miller As The Flash
1. Grant Gustin
Although Aaron Taylor-Johnson may have experience playing a costumed speedster, Grant Gustin is the only person on this list (or in the world) who can say he has played the actual Flash for a decade. When Gustin was introduced as Barry Allen on The CW's Arrow, he quickly became a fan favorite. Gustin's popularity carried over to his own "Berlantiverse" series, The Flash.
The Flash became the most popular and highest-rated of all six DC shows on the CW network, and Gustin appeared in five of the six shows in crossover events throughout the seasons. When Ezra Miller was cast as The Flash for the DCEU, fans online were outraged that the studio didn't find a way to keep Gustin in the role. Understandably so. Although Gustin isn't the first actor to play the Scarlet Speedster, he has arguably done it best. He's certainly had the most success with it.
More-so, Grant Gustin is undeniably likable. He hasn't been at the center of any abhorrent criminal behavior or controversies, and appears to be as nice of a guy as the one he plays on TV.
The concept of a multiverse has been at the heart of major storylines for both Marvel and DC comics. The Flashpoint Paradox gives DC an easy out to bring Gustin in.
