10 Actors Who Could Replace Ezra Miller As The Flash
4. Aaron Taylor-Johnson
One thing that Aaron Taylor-Johnson has over every other actor on this list is that he as already portrayed a costumed hero twice, and one was a super-speedy hero in a major franchise.
It's been over a decade since Taylor-Johnson broke onto the hero scene in the film adaptation of underground comic favorite Kick Ass. Cast as Quicksilver in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the Brit was criminally underutilized. After packing on a few years and several pounds of muscle, Taylor-Johnson was spot on in his portrayal of Pietro Maximoff.
In the MCU, Quicksilver was written mostly to add weight to his sister Wanda's story arc. When Pietro was killed by gunfire while protecting Hawkeye and a young boy, fans of the comics were let down by his early, unceremonious demise. When considering that the multiverse has already given fans plenty of crossover action between Sony and Marvel properties, Taylor-Johnson could have interacted with Magneto (his father within the pages of Marvel Comics). Since they didn't go that route, the Godzilla star should have no issue trading in the grey tights for red.
Between Kick Ass and Quicksilver, Aaron Taylor-Johnson has proven that he can play a super-fast hero and one with a biting sense of humor. Put them together, stir vigorously, and you get The Flash.
