10 Actors Who Deeply Regret Starring In Comic Book Movies
10. Jessica Alba
The latest Fantastic Four movie was a mess, but it did a good job when it came to casting. Only half of the foursome in the first two movies were close to being right for their respective roles (I'm obviously talking about Chris Evans and Michael Chiklis), but what should have been an exciting departure from the comics - a Latina Sue Storm - was sullied by the studio making Jessica Alba dye her hair blonde and wear blue contacts. It turns out that Fox trying to turn her into something she's not was the least of Alba's concerns after working with director Tim Story though, especially after he told her: "Can you be prettier when you cry? Cry pretty, Jessica..." Starring in Fantastic Four: Rise Of The Silver Surfer actually led to the actress deciding to quit Hollywood altogether, and it was only after the birth of her daughter that she changed her mind about acting. "It all got me thinking: Am I not good enough? Are my instincts and my emotions not good enough? And so I just said, 'F**k it. I don't care about this business anymore," Alba revealed back in 2012. While she obviously had another crack at comic book adaptations with Sin City and its less popular sequel, the actress clearly didn't enjoy her time playing the Invisible Woman any more than fans enjoyed these two terrible movies.
