10 Actors Who Deeply Regret Starring In Comic Book Movies

9. George Clooney

George Clooney didn't really have much to say about his one crack at playing Batman until fairly recently, but years of simmering hatred for the role clearly boiled over based on the comments he made about his time suiting up as Gotham City's cheesiest Caped Crusader. He's gone so far as to apologise on numerous occasions over the past couple of years, even saying sorry to Adam West for the Bat-nipples and Mr. Freeze! "Let me just say that I€™d actually thought I€™d destroyed the franchise until somebody else brought it back years later and changed it," he admitted to Graham Norton in an interview last year. "I thought at the time that this was going to be a very good career move." It obviously wasn't, while a surprise appearance at the New York Comic Con later saw Clooney joke that playing Batman got him "disinvited from Comic-Con for 20 years." The actor himself has confessed that playing Batman was far from the right thing for his career, while the fact he's found it necessary to say sorry for ever donning the cape and cowl tells you all there is to know about how much he regrets starring in the still widely ridiculed Batman and Robin! It is somewhat ironic though that these comments came during the Tomorrowland press tour as that movie would also bomb in a big way.
