4. John Goodman
Films of 2012: Argo, Flight, Paranorman, The Campaign, Trouble with the Curve There is no actor who brought more joy to the screen when he appeared in it than John Goodman. Although he did not take the lead role in any of his films, his presence gave the cast a well rounded dynamic with his charisma and charm being in the film. His distinct and robust personality is always a welcome fit to the screen whether as a drug dealer in "Flight" or as Clint Eastwood's best friend in "Trouble with the Curve." His best role came from the already great ensemble cast of "Argo" as the real life makeup artist, John Chambers. He has the opportunity to bounce back and forth with Alan Arkin, making for a great combination and the thought of why can't they have their own film together. In 2013, Goodman is only slated to be in the sequel to "Monsters Inc.", "Monsters University," though we can surely expect more.
