10 Actors Who Drew Critical Acclaim In Awful Movies
6. Ezra Miller As Barry Allen/The Flash – Justice League
DC's apparent insistence at making its Extended Universe as dark, gritty, and colourless as possible, Ezra Miller's turn as Barry Allen - A.K.A. The Flash - is easily one of its better decisions.
Miller's portrayal of the speedster in 2017's Justice League is perfectly awkward and energetic, and throughout the big-screen team up of some of the biggest names in comics, it seems as though The Flash is at odds with everything around him.
Injecting some much needed humour into the dreary world of Zack Snyder's making, Barry brings us a number of gems that not only had the audience laughing at something other than the low overall quality of the movie, but actually redeemed it from being an almost unwatchable mess.
In fact, Miller's portrayal of the Flash even holds up well when examined alongside the CW's Arrowverse version, and even reprised his role in the series during the Crisis on Infinite Earths crossover arc.
Miller was able to embody much of what the Flash should be: funny, both intentionally and unintentionally, with a child-like innocence as well as a strong sense of loyalty to the team that he was forced to hold up the cinematic miscarriage that was Justice League.
